Rosemary, Sage & Hematite

After the moon is Full, she wanes for two weeks.

It is during this time that she appears to shrink a little more each night till the New Moon.

During this phase one might want to consider the things that could be reduced, reversed, or released.

This Banishing Bath was designed with the intent to encourage one to look within and ask themselves, “What is working for me?” as much as, “And what is not?” For example, maybe there are some unhealthy habits or negative thought patterns you’d like to let go of. Perhaps you’ve let certain relationships carry on far longer than they should have. Connections to people, places and things that have a draining effect on you ought to be reconsidered, reconstructed, or straight up stamped out.

Rosemary has been used traditionally in Earth Magic to purify, cleanse and heal.

Its sharp aroma induces a bit of a "wake-up call"- a few drops are all it takes to focus.

Contemplate the things you have been carrying around that no longer benefit you. Not just mentally and emotionally, but even material items you may have hoarded or latched onto in the physical plane that are just taking up space.

Decide whether or not the time has come to release these things. When you let go, you make more room for things better suited for you to come.

I also use Salvia Officinalis (Common Sage) in this blend for some extra clearing, cleansing and clarity. I grow my own in my garden, I also use its essential oil, which I purchase from a local co-op.

Hematite's shiny surface, much like a shield, can be used to deflect negative energy. It is a heavy and dense crystal, keeping you grounded in the physical plane.

An Apache Tear, [ a type of obsidian volcanic glass ] can be used to release stress, worry, sadness, and anything else that does not serve you. Visualize the stone absorbing your problems. Cast it into the ocean when the moon is waning, where salt and time will dissolve the negativity.
